InfinityQS is pleased to announce Dr. Douglas C. Montgomery as the Keynote speaker for Infusion 2011.
Dr. Montgomery is Regents' Professor of industrial engineering and statistics and Foundation Professor of Engineering at Arizona State University. During his time at ASU, he has won several teaching awards and is an ASU Outstanding Doctoral Mentor. With research and teaching interests in industrial statistics, he has authored 12 books and over 225 archival publications. Montgomery has lectured extensively throughout the Americas and Europe sharing his experience and teachings with many individuals, as well as national and international organizations.
A graduate from Virginia Tech, Dr. Montgomery holds a B.S, M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering. He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association (ASA), a Fellow of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society (RSS), a Fellow of Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), a Member of the International Statistics Institute (ISI), and an Academician of the International Academy for Quality (IAQ). He is a recipient of the Deming Lecture Award from the ASA, the Greenfield Medal from the RSS, the Shewhart Medal, the William G. Hunter Award, the Brumbaugh Award, the Lloyd S. Nelson Award, and two-time winner of the Shewell Award from ASQ, the George Box Medal from the European Network for Business and Industrial Statistics, and the Ellis R. Ott Award. He is also a past Editor of the Journal of Quality Technology and a Chief Editor of Quality and Reliability Engineering International.
