Automated SPC Solution Enables Paperless Data Collection

Chantilly, Va. - December 19, 2005 - InfinityQS International, a leading provider of statistical process control (SPC) software, today announced that Alcon Laboratories, Inc. has standardized on the InfinityQS SPC Quality Suite to automate data collection and analysis for increased operational efficiencies. Alcon, the world’s leading manufacturer of ophthalmic devices and pharmaceuticals chose to standardize on the software after a year and half of successful implementations at individual U.S. plants.

InfinityQS SPC Quality Suite— a software package that uses statistical analysis to provide actionable quality data via control charts and alerts, helping companies comply with FDA Part 11 regulations—will be implemented in Alcon’s manufacturing plants around the globe. Alcon originally purchased InfinityQS software in July 2004 for its Orlando, Fl., Houston, Tx., Irvine, Ca., Sinking Spring, Pa., and its Fort Worth, Tx. locations, and has recently made it the standard SPC application for its manufacturing plants worldwide.
