Making informed business decisions in real-time can be challenging. Thorough data analysis often occurs after products have already been produced, making it impossible to control quality during the manufacturing process. ProFicient™ is InfinityQS' industry-leading Statistical Process Control (SPC) software. It automates data collection and analysis on the plant floor, helping quality professionals make intelligent decisions to improve their manufacturing processes in real-time, before defects occur.
InfinityQS is pleased to announce the release of a major upgrade to our industry-leading software: ProFicient 4. ProFicient 4 includes new enhancements and features to further help you improve quality and drive down costs.
ProFicient 4 focuses on compliance reporting (useful for companies in regulated industries or companies who need to meet customer specifications), an enhanced user experience, and integration with enterprise-wide systems for greater visibility of product quality.
As with every new release, the upgrades have been directed by the software users themselves. The demand for these new features and enhancements is significant, and InfinityQS has incorporated them into the product as part of its mission to help customers succeed through improved quality and decreased costs.
ProFicient 4 is provided to customers at no cost if they have an Annual Maintenance Agreement (AMA). Click here to download ProFicient 4 now.
InfinityQS ProFicient provides extensive functionality, allowing you to chart and analyze data in a way that's most meaningful to you. Unlike other charting applications, such as Microsoft Excel, ProFicient offers unlimited data mining and sorting, so that your reporting options are virtually endless.
+ Advanced Control Charting Tools
ProFicient has the tools to manage SPC for long and short production runs, multiple characteristics and limited data collection opportunities. With over 300 different control charts, InfinityQS ensures there is a tool that is uniquely matched to your operation.
Attribute Control Charts: Traditional and Standardized Processing. Group, EWMA, Wandering Mean, CUSUM, and CUSUM AQL Chart Types
Variable Control Charts: Target, Short Run and Standardized Processing. Group, EWMA, Wandering Mean, and CUSUM %CV Chart Types

+ Full support for FDA's 21 CFR Part 11 Requirements
Strict access control features support ALL the requirements of 21 CFR Part 11 including password aging, recycling, lockouts, length and encryption. Automatic audit trail logging provides a history of all changes made to any database item including sample data, limits and alarm rules. Read our whitepaper or our application note for more information on meeting FDA's 21 CFR Part 11 Requirements.
+ Lot Acceptance Sampling
Acceptance Sampling is used to make dispositions on accepting or rejecting a lot (or batch) of products that have already been produced. It is most often used to evaluate products that are received from outside sources. Acceptance Sampling should be considered when the testing required is destructive, 100% inspection isn't feasible due to the cost or time involved, there is a high probability of errors from 100% inspection, or if the supplier has a strong history of supplying acceptable products.
The new Lot Acceptance Sampling feature in ProFicient allows users to select a random sample from an incoming "lot" of materials and analyze the sample in real-time to make a decision regarding the lot's quality. Other SPC solutions do not include the functionality to conduct incoming inspection sampling because the parts are not sequentially ordered when they arrive.

Easy to Integrate, Implement and Use
ProFicient software can smoothly integrate into any manufacturing environment. A single setup supports hundreds of parts and machine tools, simplifying deployment and system management.
+ Project Based
ProFicient is project-based rather than file-based. A file-based system requires its users to create separate "files" for each part. These files contain the features that are tested, their specifications, as well as their control limits. For example, if you have 600 parts, a file-based system requires a file for each of these parts, which can be difficult for operators to manage. When a job change occurs and the operator must test a different part, the operator must search through hundreds of different files to find the one they need. File-based systems are also difficult to setup and administer. If, for example, you want to check a new feature on your parts, the administrator would have to open and edit all 600 files. With ProFicient's project-based system, you configure a single project to manage data entry and analysis of hundred or thousands of part numbers—all without requiring operators to search through files.
Honeywell Engines in Phoenix, AZ switched from a file-based system to InfinityQS software. Instead of juggling 5,500 files (one for each part), they now use only three projects to easily enter and analyze data on the shop floor. Gallo Winery in Modesto, CA uses only a single project to manage all data entry and analysis of over 7,500 wine products run on 17 different fill lines. These two examples demonstrate how the project-based nature of InfinityQS will dramatically simplify your setup and administration, and drastically reduce administrator time.
+ Ease of Integration
ProFicient is structured for use in virtually any IT/IS infrastructure. Most other SPC software packages have specific IT requirements which often create additional time and expenditures.
Open Architecture/Non-proprietary: ProFicient can work with any Microsoft operating system, any gage and network.
Connects with any ODBC compliant database: ProFicient is simply the front-end to a database—you can use any database application you choose. IT personnel have the flexibility of changing database applications and easily transferring data from the old system to the new one.
Integrates with Any SMTP Email System: When an unusual event is triggered, ProFicient sends emails to the person or persons of your choosing.
No Archaic Files: Everything resides in database tables and there are no files to manage. If a project is accidentally deleted, all the data still resides in the database. This structure provides for a very secure environment.
All Native Code Written by InfinityQS Developers: Unlike our competitors, we do not "purchase" a statistical engine from a vendor. Therefore, we have the flexibility to continually improve and update our software on a frequent basis.
+ User-Friendly Interface
The ProFicient interface supports both standard and touch screen display modes; single, multiple and mixed characteristics; built-in gage support; and custom screens. User-specific interfaces and company-specific terminology combine to make our software easy to use for everyone from the shop floor to top level executives.
+ Simple Data Acquisition
Manual, automatic and hands-free data entry with built-in support for any serial gage means real-time data entry is simple, even for users with little or no computer experience. We offer a variety of data acquisition tools.
+ Database Independence
Our 100% ODBC compliant software runs on any ODBC compliant database making it simpler to implement and integrate with your current systems. Allowing the storage of billions of records in any category, this is a system your plant won't outgrow.
