InfinityQS Selected 'Best Practice' by Siemens VDO Automotive

Chantilly, VA - August 23, 2004 - InfinityQS® International, the premier provider of enterprise-wide quality control manufacturing solutions, today announced that Siemens Diesel Systems Technology, LLC ("SDST"), which is a joint venture between Siemens Automotive Corporation and NLP, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of International Truck and Engine Corporation, a tier-one automotive supplier, has selected and installed InfinityQS SPC software to manage the quality and statistical process control (SPC) of its diesel fuel injectors. The fuel injectors are used in the Power Stroke® diesel engine designed and built by International® for Ford Motor Company's Super Duty® trucks, Econoline® Vans and Excursion® SUV's.

"We needed an SPC package that could manage data in a variety of ways across multiple machines and processes based on the customer's needs," said Mike O'Shields, Quality Engineer at SDST. "This led Siemens VDO and our gauging partner Etamic to perform an exhaustive analysis of the available SPC software packages looking for our 30 'must have' features. InfinityQS was chosen because they were best suited to meeting all of our requirements. Using their products, we are now easily collecting and analyzing over a million data points per day across our entire plant. In fact, the quality system at SDST has been identified as a 'Best Practice' by Siemens VDO Automotive Corp. and InfinityQS played a key role in that recognition," O'Shields added.
