Spectrum Brands Chooses InfinityQS as SPC Standard
InfinityQS to be Global Standard Across All Spectrum Brand Manufacturing Locations
Chantilly, VA - October 3, 2005 - InfinityQS® International, the premier provider of enterprise-wide quality control software solutions, announced today that Spectrum Brands, a global consumer company, has selected InfinityQS to provide statistical process control (SPC) software and services for their plants all over the world. These plants are located in Brazil, UK, Germany, Columbia, Guatemala, China, and the United States. InfinityQS SPC products empower manufacturers to monitor, control and improve the quality of their manufacturing operations across a site, an enterprise or an entire supply chain.
Since the late 1990's, Spectrum Brands has used the InfinityQS SPC software to monitor, control and improve the manufacturing processes in their Wisconsin and England battery manufacturing facilities. The software has allowed Spectrum Brands to improve the quality of critical performance and physical characteristics of their batteries including height, weight, pressure, and battery life. Based on these positive results, Spectrum Brands made the decision to make InfinityQS software the standard process control software across all manufacturing locations worldwide.
"Spectrum Brands has very high standards for quality and quality is in the details. InfinityQS SPC software helps us manage all the small details, which then translates into the quality products our company is known for in the market," said Tom Quick, Vice President of Quality at Spectrum Brands. "The software is flexible enough to be configured for the many different types of processes we must control, providing top-of-the-line results."
"The success InfinityQS had at the facilities in Wisconsin and England has translated into this significant endorsement from Spectrum Brands to deploy our software throughout their plants. We're honored to work with Spectrum Brands, who provides consumer products to over 1 million stores all over the world," said Michael A. Lyle, President of InfinityQS International. "Our SPC software, solid client support, and technical services will continue to assist Spectrum Brands in targeting key areas for process improvement, resulting in high quality products and continued success."
