Chantilly, VA - December 3, 2007 - InfinityQS® International, the leading provider of real-time Statistical Process Control (SPC) software, today announced that it has established a new data center in China as part of its ongoing mission to support companies with manufacturing operations or suppliers around the world. Housed in one of China's largest and most secure data centers, the new infrastructure is currently supporting major manufacturing companies in their use of eSPC—InfinityQS' Web-based solution for enterprise and supply chain quality management.
InfinityQS' eSPC is a Software as a Service (SaaS) application that provides real-time quality monitoring and analysis tools for manufacturing processes. The system collects quality data from the production environment and instantaneously makes it available to designated locations worldwide. Because companies do not host the eSPC application and underlying IT infrastructure themselves, it is imperative that InfinityQS' servers, databases, network equipment and security devices perform optimally on a 24/7/365 basis.
This new data center offers greater speed, reliability and security to eSPC users in China. A VPN connects the Chinese and U.S. data centers, and the data is replicated in both locations for added security and reliability. This fully redundant network ensures that eSPC users will have immediate access to their quality data (and their suppliers' data) whether they are located in China or the U.S.
"Establishing a data center for our eSPC solution in China was the logical next step in our plan to create network to support the growing demand for our quality solutions," said Michael A. Lyle, president and CEO of InfinityQS. "Our client base in China is expanding rapidly, and we needed to have the IT infrastructure in place to ensure security, speed, and 24/7/365 availability for our customers. With the increasing number of recalls and supplier quality issues, we recognized the demand for a real-time solution that directly addressed supply chain quality."
As part of its significant investment to support the rapidly increasing demand for eSPC, InfinityQS has enhanced both its U.S. and the China data centers with additional servers, live monitors, security devices, databases and network equipment. As more and more manufacturers implement this solution with their suppliers, the need for security, redundancy and availability is growing exponentially.
