InfinityQS Solution Meets Demand for Internal and External Data Monitoring
Chantilly, VA - October 14, 2008 - InfinityQS® International, the leading provider of real-time Statistical Process Control (SPC) software, today announced that Amphenol, the world's largest manufacturer of interconnect products, is deploying eSPC in its military/aerospace division. eSPC is a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution for enterprise and supply chain quality management.
The eSPC application allows users to conduct extensive comparative quality data analysis throughout the enterprise and across the supply chain. Amphenol plans to mandate eSPC throughout its supply chain to produce specification compliant quality parts to schedule. With eSPC, Amphenol will be able to simultaneously audit both internal and external quality data on a single platform. eSPC's real-time data sharing capabilities facilitate collaboration across plants and eliminate the need for the manual assimilation of data from multiple sources and locations.
Amphenol is also benefiting from the ease of use and reduction of maintenance costs that a SaaS solution provides. The company is incurring no capital expenses from additional servers and associated support to maintain this quality system, resulting in an affordable and predictable total cost of ownership. Additionally, Amphenol always has access to the most current version of the eSPC application without the burden of upgrade procedures.
"Amphenol customers expect a proactive approach to answer their quality, delivery and cost methods," said Robert Neuberger, quality engineer, High Tech Products at Amphenol Aerospace. "The way we differentiate ourselves is by taking a world-class approach to these demands. While most solutions provide the ability to create the required charts and attribute data, we were particularly interested in eSPC's ability to create and monitor multiple projects and receive data from multiple suppliers simultaneously." Using eSPC to improve product quality, Amphenol and its customers are benefiting from a faster time to market with decreased rework and warranty costs.
"eSPC is designed for companies that are seeking to quickly turn information from across the supply chain into a valuable asset that can be acted upon immediately," said Michael A. Lyle, president and CEO of InfinityQS. "As a Web-based application, eSPC allows manufacturers to ensure consistent product quality throughout the enterprise by combining and analyzing data from multiple locations."
