Major Salad Products Producer Uses the Cloud to Manage Global Quality
Food manufacturer benefits from the flexibility and scalability of a private cloud SaaS environment with InfinityQS’ on-demand SPC solution.
Chantilly, Va. April 7, 2011 - InfinityQS announced that a major producer of salad products has deployed ProFicient on Demand, a hosted Statistical Process Control (SPC) solution, to control food quality and safety at multiple manufacturing sites. The company is looking to reduce the costs associated with overfilling and will be using ProFicient on Demand to monitor real-time net contents across its sites and help ensure quality.
ProFicient on Demand is a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution that monitors and controls real-time process data from any global source. The package is an all-inclusive quality system that includes the full functionality of ProFicient SPC as well as Dynamic Scheduler, Quality Monitor, and Net Process Monitor. These valued-added applications provide added workflow capabilities and visibility tools into real-time quality performance.
This major salad producer chose ProFicent on Demand because they needed to be up and running quickly, but without creating an additional burden on their limited IT staff. They also wanted a system that would allow them to easily compare plant-to-plant and line-to-line performance with just a few clicks of the mouse.
“InfinityQS has worked closely with a number of food and beverage producers to create a flexible, hybrid quality control system that is capable of supporting the requirements of the FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA),” said Michael A. Lyle, president and CEO of InfinityQS. “The key advantages of ProFicient on Demand are the sheer simplicity and speed at which a real-time quality control system can be implemented. For food manufacturers, this system provides genuine farm to fork traceability across an unlimited number of sites and suppliers without the time and expense of a lengthy software implementation.”
