Vendors selected for the "Cool Vendor" report are innovative, impactful and intriguing

Fairfax, Va. – May 15, 2012 – InfinityQS International, Inc., the leading provider of real-time quality control software solutions, today announced that it has been included in the "Cool Vendors in Manufacturing Operations, 2012" report by Gartner, Inc. The report, written by Leif Eriksen and Simon F. Jacobson, illustrates the importance manufacturers place on product quality and safety, as well as safe and reliable production operations. The Gartner analysts note that the vendors selected apply innovative approaches to tackling these high-priority issues.

According to the report, the globalization and expansion of manufacturing networks across multiple segments require that the globalization of quality systems expands beyond single-tier manufacturing sites to include suppliers, customers and partners. This enables brand protection, reduces risk and improves collaboration, all while driving decreases in the cost of poor quality. Jacobson specifically notes that by leveraging cloud services monitor supplier processes and achieve multitier visibility into quality performance, the traditional SPC paradigm is challenged.

Michael Lyle, president and CEO of InfinityQS, said, "As product quality continues to affect every aspect of the manufacturing business—brand reputation and customer loyalty, material costs and supplier pricing, corporate profits and strategic direction—it is more important than ever to truly understand the entire supply chain. By implementing decision-making techniques based on real-time manufacturing intelligence, manufacturers are transcending traditional standards of quality management and challenging accepted quality norms. As a significant player in today’s new manufacturing landscape, we are pleased that Gartner recognized InfinityQS in the 2012 ‘Cool Vendors’ report."
