With the rise of Big Data and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), manufacturers can generate and collect vast amounts of data on production performance, processes, and product quality. Quality professionals often find themselves overwhelmed when trying to sift through it all for actionable insights. This session discusses new ways of analyzing huge amounts of data, while still adhering to sound statistical principles. It covers data organization, yield computations, a new technique known as “grading,” and roll-up techniques. Attendees will learn how to get instant insight out of their current big data repositories, as well as how to perform enterprise-wide grade analysis to effectively prioritize quality efforts.
About the Presenter:
Steve Wise joined InfinityQS in 1996 and focuses on ensuring proper use of statistical techniques within its software offerings and application in the customer base. He helps companies from all industry segments implement real-time Statistical Process Control (SPC) and advanced statistical tools. Wise received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Statistics from the University of Tennessee in 1986. Notably, Wise and Douglas Fair (InfinityQS’ COO) co-authored the book, Innovative Control Charting
