Continuing on with our client tour, our next stop after General Cable was NorthStar Battery in Springfield, MO. We met with Michael Rossi, a quality engineer and six sigma green belt who works very closely with the InfinityQS implementation.

Established in July 2000, NorthStar has quickly become an industry leader in designing, manufacturing and deploying an innovative range of batteries and site solutions. They recently started using the DMS/DCS for data collection and management. "It's really neat to watch all the charts update as the data is being collected in real-time," said Michael. "Electronic SPC is the new technology. People have been plotting control charts on paper with a pencil for a long time. Once you start getting into the electronic SPC and the real-time data and the alarm monitoring and everything else that goes along with InfinityQS, it is a good system in place. It's become something that we've relied on since we implemented it two years ago."
